Myerscough College employees accept pay rise

Workers employed by Myerscough College Lancashire have accepted a 6.5% pay rise backdated to 1 January 2024 following ongoing strike action. Government to review fit note system

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced government plans to review the fit note system for people who are not well enough to work. In a speech on 19 May, Sunak said the government will design a new system where people have easy and rapid access to specialised work and health support to help them back to work from their first fit note conversation.
