What will the proposed fit note reforms mean for employers?

The government reforms will trial fit note process changes in order to improve triage and signposting. Making it easier to get a fit note will enable employers to help staff get assistance in a shorter amount of time, and potentially return to work faster. The reforms will also improve access to support so return-to-work plans are more robust. Last November, the government announced it will take steps to reform the fit note process to support more people to resume work after a period of illness.

A third of people say they have experienced a toxic manager

Avanti West Coast train drivers receive overtime shift fee increase

The trainline operator covers the west coast main line between London, Manchester and Glasgow. The drivers will receive the payment on top of their standard four-day week pay, and the deal will be in place until 29 March 2025.
