The sentiments of employees around the world about AI and GenAI are evolving significantly, but cautious optimism endures, with 42 percent reporting confidence about the technologies’ impact on their work, compared to 26 percent at around this time last year. However, anxiety about the technologies is also on the rise, by 5 percentage points, and 49 percent of regular users believe their job may disappear in the next ten years, a view shared by only 24 percent of workers who do not use them.

Nearly three-quarters (70%) of HR decision makers feel a greater responsibility to look after their employees’ health due to NHS waiting times, according to research by healthcare provider Simplyhealth. Its survey of 2,000 employees and 500 HR decision makers also found that the healthcare (45%) and education sectors (43%) were the most likely to see a rising number of sick days, followed by manufacturing (35%).

Its LV= Wealth and wellbeing research programme , which is its quarterly survey of 4,000 UK adults and tracks current finances and future outlook, also found that 60% of respondents said they were financially comfortable, while 40% said they were struggling.
