73% of parents think next government should reform parental leave and pay

Almost three-quarters (73%) of working parents think the next government should introduce reforms which improve parental leave and pay entitlements, according to research by Working Families. The charity for working parents and carers’ survey of 1,285 parents of dependents aged 0–18 years in England and Wales also found that 67% of respondents would feel more inclined to vote for candidates or parties that include reforms of this kind in their manifesto.
