Exclusive: 43% of staff with cancer were satisfied with their return-to-work programme

Two-fifths (43%) UK employees who have or have had cancer were satisfied with their employer’s return-to-work programme, according to research by back-to-work rehabilitation specialist Working To Wellbeing. Its Window to the workplace report also found that satisfaction with their phased return-to-work programme fell to 32% among employees aged 55 and above, compared to 63% of those aged under 35.

Sainsbury’s increases pay for hourly paid staff

From March 2024, 120,000 hourly paid staff will benefit from the rise, with those based in London seeing an increase to £13.15 per hour. For a full-time worker, this amounts to an extra £1,910 a year nationally and £2,290 a year in London, and is above the government’s £11.44 national living wage for 2024.
