A finance worker at a multinational company in Hong Kong was duped into transferring $25 million to criminals who had used deepfake technology to pose as the business’s chief financial officer during a video conference call, according to local police.

Nationwide Building Society has reported a 6.4% mean ethnicity pay gap for 2023, down 1% from 2022. The organisation’s 2023 median ethnicity pay gap was 10%, up 0.4% from the prior year. Its mean ethnicity bonus gap was 21.3%, down 11.5% from 2022, and its median gap was 17.2%, up 3% from the previous year. A total of 93.6% of non-ethnically diverse and 88.1% of ethnically diverse employees received a bonus that year.
